David Cameron First Official Portrait

Recently completed by artist Jonathon Yeo, son of former Conservative minister Tim Yeo. Is this the portrait of our future Prime Minister?

Looks a bit fucking murky to me.

Just saying.

Is young Yeo trying to tell us something?

The official portrait of the PM(in waiting), bejesus where do they get off on thinking they are that important that they need "official portraits".

A touch too much Brown for me.

And what's that smell? has anybody been walking in the cowshed and not changed their shoes?

It would be a better setting for Mandy, but it's a pretty good political portrait as it associates Cameron with sombre seriousness to try to counteract his lightweight and not very-well thought out performance.

It makes him look more intelligent than he normally does. I'm never sure if he is a berk or if he's just pretending to be one, or if he can't help looking like one but somewhere behind that massive dome is a sharp brain.

The backdrop looks like it has a subliminal white skull facing to the right, with eye sockets off to the side of his elbow and nose and mouth below that. There is an ear off to the side of his other elbow. Perhaps murky isn't the word for it, maybe purposeful well done subliminal messaging is more apt unless my imagination is playing games with me.

@anon

I think it was meant to have his wife in it aswell, If you stand back you can see her outline Thats what you are seeing when you see that Skull and nose

I guess J Yeo couldnt finish it in time for the main event and just added background over it
