Police kicking out at what appear to be peaceful protesters and then deliberately forcing them back towards the trouble ? What the fuck is that all about then? Anyone would think that they were under strict instructions to incite a riot ... rather than try their best to prevent one.
What say you?

They look just like how I imaging the average Inspector Gadget commenter

The cops tried to cause a riot last year at the G20 demo and failed - as I wrote up here: http://donnachadelong.info/2009/04/21/did-the-cops-try-to-cause-a-riot-at-g20/
This needs so be shared everywhere. Police assaulting kids, wrong. They kept them kettled for 8 hours!!!
You can see another example of police 'courage' at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nqxP2bpF7I in which they can't run fast enough from a Mohammedan rabble who are chasing them, taunting them and throwing traffic cones at them.
Bloody cowards.
To be perfectly honest the video is so jerky that I mentally switched off after a minute or so. I can't form any opinion on what was going on based on this evidence. If someone had been filming from a nearby building so we could see the "Bigger Picture" things might be clearer. However as Willam Gruff points out the students would be better off wearing different clothing and chanting Islamic slogans....
Im sure there will be more footage tomorrow when the students upload what they have.
Don't you understand though, that when you allow the Socialist Workers Party to infiltrate your protests, then your asking for trouble all over the shop?
They rarely get arrested or hurt, and they're past masters of inciting violence and then disappearing into the crowd, whilst others are then invited to "Pay the ferryman".
It's an age old adage, passed down throughout generations in that:.....Next time you're protesting...."Try and keep the Trots away".
What say I? Well, I'm like a little bit pissed on gin and ale but I cannot really comment on this vid. I've seen plenty more today wot raised my ire, like that Yorkshire MEP bloke getting kicked out for telling the truth (and I hate Yorkshiremen, but fair play, he were telling the truth!)
Now, your above video - I don't know wot it's trying to say except from the looks of it I'd happily spray boiling piss on both sides of the line. And then come back and do it again after a couple more pints of gin and ale. (Celery is nice for a snack)
later on into the vid the police are seen clearly kicking what appears to be an peacefull crowd.
Congrats to the cameraperson for concentrating on their shoulder numbers, hope someone takes a note of them before the vid gets pulled as 'evidence'.
Beeb Radio 2 did mention 'thousands' of students being "held" in Trafalgar Square, just the once.
They had that nice Mr Clegg on who put up a pretty good case for the new tuition fees regime including putting down the "How am I, as a single Muvva, supposed to cope with paying £9,000 a year to put each ov my kids froo Yooniveri'y includin food and rent?" woman.
"You won't, and neither will your children until they are earning substantial salaries".
Taking a break to day to say God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.K. friends as we are all family in God.
Bringing you out on the streets is exactly what they want. Peacefull demonstrations are meat and potatoes to the police and the press. In every instance there is lots of shuffling, lots of pushing, questions and demands, confrontations. Those police actions are covered under attempting to quell violence, but the violence is often instigated by 'plants', and whilst someone has to be near the front of any demonstration, you can bet those who are up for it will be right in there ready for a 'go'.
Only Sky has some footage of Zoe Williams attempting to stop the trashing of a police van and calming people down:
http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Lone-Student-Steps-In-To-Prevent-Riots-At-Peaceful-London-Protest-in-Whitehall/Article/201011415826275
The rest are hyped up, and after being deliberately 'kettled' for up to nine hours - who wouldn't be.
One protester was of the view that the van was also planted as a sacrificial item for a focus point for media. Could well have been.
We also have to ask ourselves, what would have happened if there had been no 'kettling', no riot gear, and the protesters allowed to chant and march? Without any violence a peaceful demonstration may achieve much, but that cannot be allowed. Peaceful demonstrations work, and because the do cannot be allowed. If such a demo is organised and refused it may well be because the 'rent-a-mob' don't have sufficient contingencies to ensure violence - and there's no content on the plate for the media without violence.
This entire sequence of events is orchestrated and designed to breed hate. Does anyone focus on the schoolgirls linking hands 'protecting' that police van? Very few I'll wager. Hate breeds violence, is focessed on and it plays straight into their hands.
Consider this: The same scenario in Whitehall with no voices raised, no throwing missiles, no placards to burn, but total silence instead. How would the police reacted to that - something quite unexpected? It won't happem, because hate has been planted to germinate and destroy peace. Love is not an emotion I would use towards politicians or the individuals in uniform, but genetically our dna is more powerful with that feeling, than with hate, which creates actions seen in most any riot.
Ooops! Sorry about the spelling; 'peaceful'; 'focussed'. :-[
What I want to know is, was it a police chief or a member of the government who ordered the placing of the police van where it was so it would give the police an excuse to give these troublesome students a good hiding.
Thank you and I hope that you and all our other American visitors had a great day with their families!
Yes, and I haven't seen one single picture of that van complete with it's registration number plates. Who removed them? The protesters or the police? Anyone?
It was the police after realising it was untaxed and would been picked up on the stop & cop 'number plate recognition ' cameras
I watched the vid last night and tried getting the shoulder numbers here: http://youve-been-cromwelled.org/?p=1663
GOT. todays telegraph (25/11) has a pic with someone/protestor with a registration plate in hand, presumably that of said police van, not saying it's real, just saying.
Thanks for that .... so it's very unlikely it was the police then. Also had an email to say van wasn't taxed but after spending hours scouring every pic I could find, I eventually found an early pic with the tax disc in place. So we can put that conspiracy theory to bed then. However, the evidence of police kicking peaceful protesters still remains for all to see. Please take note "The Special One' ;)
NIce one Olly ... and did I see an 'officer' @ 3:17 without a shoulder number? Hard to tell for sure either way ;)
On the money again, Dazed! ;)
I wouldn't spray my boing piss on those police cunts if they were on fire, Henry! >:o
here it is, to the bottom left. t'telegraph say we can't sher their piccies but we know better ;)
registration number is LX54 CPY, police national computer anyone?
Is that it? I've seen more commotion in a kindergarten!
Do you take a police van to the middle of a demo without riot grilles? :)
