Climate Change Deniers Day

I recently watched some PowerSmart climate change tv commercials and they kind of got me thinking .... why should it just be the tree hugging, tofu eating, warmists that have their own climate change events. You know the sort of thing..... save this, stop using that, poor ickle polar bear days .... and shit. And who can forget those 10:10 eco terrorists, with their day of global doing, including that video which threatened to blow up up anyone (including children) that didn't believe in all that man made global warming bollocks.

So... "fuck it!", I thought ..... how about a climate change Deniers Day?

A chance for the rest of us to display our total disregard for that 'science is settled' nonsense and turn things on their head. A day where, instead of saving 10%, we can go about our normal everyday business using an extra 100% or more .....

What do you reckon .... an idea you could warm to perhaps?

Oh yes.......... right up my street.  On Climate Denier Day I might also burn a car tyre every time I hear extreme green bollocks.

This is an excellent idea and long overdue. I'll have my polar bear steak rare and with grated penguin on top.
Some bloke on Sky last night saying that cutbacks in green things is akin to not buying Spitfires in 1939 - how big a cunt do you have to be to get on this gravy train? Unfortunately, I don't think I could keep a straight face.

Name the day! I'll put it here too:

Great stuff Gotty. I'd like it even more though if it wasn't for the hateful associations with the word "denier"!

Have to admit, we went into a lovely restaurant called "vier tafels" in Gent a couple of weeks ago, and I had crocodile steak and my wife had ostrich steak. Hope that upsets 'em.

Agreed, what about "climate realist day"?

What about "climate believer" day, I believe in the natural climate that will carry on varying day to day for the next several millenia just like it's done for the previous several millenia.

tinks said...

Maybe it should be Climate Changes Day, duh! 8-)

Good idea, something has to break down the walls of this unfounded/misguided geenyism.

I mean £1b [£1b!!!] in the Spending Revue to store CO2 underground, when Mother Nature - if it needs to - can deal with it.

I'm afraid there is too much money and corruption involved in this now - particularly of the political variety.

If you think about it logically, it's complete nonsense.

Daedalus said...

You can count me in.

But I couldnt afford to waste all of that in the video. I don't believe in waste because it costs me money; neither do I believe in man made global warming.

What about "You're all talking bollocks , now piss off & stop annoying me" Day ?

tinks said...

Hey Gotty, just watch the video - I'd have kittens if I wasted stuff like that!!! It would be about the money mostly... which makes it absurd that we are being fleeced in energy charges to have produced energy in the least efficient, cost-effective and reliable way.

A noble sentiment Gotty and one which I wholeheartedly support ..

After all, purely in the interests of fairness, openess etc, those of us who espouse a different view-point are equally entitled to be heard ..

Except, please don't make it Today .. You see, today is already a very special day ..

For those who remain blissfully unaware, permit me to remind you that today, the 21st of October is TRAFALGAR DAY ..

The day on which we commemorate the huge sacrifice & success of the Royal Navy, this day in 1805 over the combined French & Spanish fleets, off Cape Trafalgar (not far from Gibraltar) ..

Whilst a stunning military success in itself, which prevented the potential invasion of Britain by Napoleon & ensured that Brittania really did rule the waves for the next 150 years .. its also the day when we commemorate the sad loss of Admiral Horatio Nelson, struck by a sniper's musket ball, fired from the foretop of the French ship "Reboutable" ..

You see, for Nelson .. love of Country, the preservation of the "British" way of life, the freedom of British shipping to navigate the world's seas without let or hinderance etc were everything and were matters for which he was prepared to put his life on the line ..

Unlike the repugnant, cowardly political creatures in power today, who are hell-bent on destroying what's left of his beloved Royal Navy .. Nelson must be rotating at high speed, in his grave, deep below St Paul's Cathedral at news of the proposed Defence "cuts" ..

Please join me this evening, by raising a glass of whatever takes your fancy .. and drinking a toast to Nelson, the men of the Royal Navy & their success in battle ..

The toast is ... "The Immortal Memory" ....

Every day this week of Arctic cold, snow in Aussie and Scotland, plus a blizzard in Yorkshire, all add up to a lot of denier days!

The best way to deal with a derogatory word is to take it on board and use it for yourself. Just like all those queers did ;)

Sound idea. Make it far enough in advance for word to get around and for forward planning.

doesn't every one shave that way, thats why they sell em in packs of 10 these days, they wont hold an edge for two swipes! I do turn off my taps though as th sound of running water makes me want to...well you know...p ad I need all of that to get a proper head of steam on when piss boiling about fuckwit warmists etc!

great vid, I'm a climate denier, CO2 is good for plants, so I dont know what all the vegetables in the green movement are complaining about!

Yes, it's called reframing the debate. Never a bad idea.

microdave said...

Very funny, Gotty. But I have to agree with Daedalus & tinks that unnecessary waste is pointless. Regardless of whether or not "our" CO2 is buggering up the planet, just making better use of what we have would mean our limited resources lasting longer. What's wrong with that?

This video is an understandable reaction from people who are sick and tired of being fed a load of bullshit from vested interest groups. I don't believe any of us are "Deniers" - we all accept that the climate is changing, and will continue to do so, that's why we get pissed off being labeled with that term.

"Realist" has got to be the way forward...

Off topic I know but BotR aint gonna like this.

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Not suggesting that anyone should 'waste'like that. It was suppsed to be a humourous comparison to the billions been pointlessly wasted in mickey mouse schemes  (and generated in so-called green taxes) by the climate change warmists. I chose denier in relation to the term MMGW because we need at term that the populus understand, not because I deny the fact that climate changes naturally ... obviously.

God, I hate having to explain myself ... maybe I'm just too fucking subtle in my approach sometimes.

Anyhow, you have the jist of an idea there ... so if someone would like to run with it, re-badge it, and choose a day for it to happen that'd be great. Happy to knock up any kind of artwork that you need, of course ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Well fucking said that man. Let's raise a glass tonight in memory of the kind of people that once made Great Britain great!

tinks said...

Ah humour, so you do humour Gotty?

Thing like the farcical idea of 'storing CO2' in caves might be funny or wind turbines being still during the bitter cold of winter...

You are quite right, there is so much money being thrown at and wasted on this nonsense now. Money that could be saved or have better utility elsewhere.

Common sense says it would be great to save energy or have better insulated homes, but all that seems to happen is that TPB seem to want to add costs to an already high cost of living country (regardless of what happens elsewhere).

It's self-flagulation on the back of some misguided (or corrupted) vanity project. I can't help thinking that these people now in charge were the ones we chuckled at manning the enviro-stalls at Freshers' Weeks all those years ago. Zealousness is impossible to deal with using common sense and argument.

Fuck me - clear the decks, sand them too I think. When BOTR reads that blood will be spilt, you mark my words....

microdave said...

I know it was meant to be light hearted!  I just get pissed off that we always seem to be faced with one extreme or the other. If both sides could actually sit round a table and find some common ground all the money being thrown at stupid windmills could be spent on something useful.  Didn't I read that Osborne has cut the budgets for home insulation grants?  What a fucking stupid idea - at least that reduces energy demand, regardless of how it's provided.

The back of the Panda hasn't carried any "Propaganda" recently, so any new artwork would be welcome!
