Choosing A WiFi Network Name

Always a difficult one this. What name to give your WiFi Network without being totally boring and predictable. Things like 'Home 001' or 'John Smith' or 'Chez Nous' all lack inspiration and show no thought at all to the fact that all your neighbours (and all those free loading WiFi hunters with mobile scanners) will be able to see and read it too.

Fear not! The Grumpy Old Twat has a few suggestions for you, which should liven things up a tad in your neighbourhood. Why not use the opportunity to send a message out to those fuckwits across the road or just let everybody know what the fuck you get up to behind closed doors. Anyway here's a few of my favourites and they're all genuine. Click any image to enlarge ... if you dare:

Modesty forbids me to translate this from the Afrikaans language!

Who's that fucking muzzie Hezbollah/Hamas terrorist-loving cunt on the third one down that's banging on about freeing Palestine? I'd love to tell him to fuck off and die!

Just seen a brilliant article on the daily Mail site G.O.T, it's the story of a builder that completely demolished an extension he had built for a customer as the bill was not paid, I was in stitches laughing so much as the "customer" was a muzzie paki cunt! Then of course bellyaching that she's "heartbroken" and the house looks like a "bomb site" (please excuse the pun!)  The moral of the story is, never do business with a Muzzie Paki as you know they will fucking stitch you up!!

Maybe that's in Holby's neck of the woods?

And No's 5 & 7 are the same - obviously the thought of being seen naked was too much for our host...

Brilliant!

Don't think this is gonna cause too much consternation down at "Haddock's Moorings" ...  ;)

I've just bought a new PC (the old one was nearly 8 & it died on me) and am trying to get my head around its various machinations .. and I'm not being helped by Windows 7 .. what a poxy system that looks to be ... Grrr

WiFi ? .... ermmm .. maybe not ...  :)   :)   :)

Yes, I had to get a WiFi connection sorted on a friends Win7 PC the other day, and it certainly 'ain't as straight forward as XP. But then NO new technolgy is ever simpler than the previous version.

I came pretty close to loosing it big time today with a Samsung mobile phone mother has just bought. All I can say to anyone thinking of buying one is DON'T....  And if anybody who works for Samsung happens to drop by this blog - your company sucks, and all the software developers are are a bunch of CUNTS!!!

@ CH - if you're really desperate contact Gotty and ask him to put you in touch. I've got some PDF guides that may help.

I've been using "Virus Downloading" for a wee while now. Seems to work rather well...

Haven't got a fucking clue what that means Ampers (and I probably don't want to?) but at least it's totally original ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

I knew you'd like that one BOTR ;)

@microdave
Living up to the name of 'twat' there ... have now replace No.7 with the one that was supposed to be there. Still involves nakedness though ......

Bring On The Revolution said...

Totally agree with you microdave on the issue of Samsung mobiles, I have one and it's absolute fucking shit, I hate the fucking thing!! Samsung most definitely a bunch of cock-sucking CUNTS!!!!

Hey Spackers, sorry you don't get on with it but the echo system will be staying for a while yet. I feel the advantages still win over the disadvantages at the moment.

BTW, If you make a mistake with a comment post (like I do quite often) you have the facility to delete it and re-do. (again, I do this often). Maybe some of the others can tell you if that's what they do to ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Yes ... and we record it and put it on the internet ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Fucking brilliant! I'd do exactly the same and then take a shit on his prayer mat ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Cheers! Well if you can't piss your pants laughing from time to time what fucking hope is there ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Good luck to you on that one Cap'n .... I don't have those problems with the Macs, they're just 'plug and play' (except when they fuck up of course) ;)

btw Cap'n, have you checked your email inbox recently ..... just saying ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Like it ;)

The name "networkforpeoplewholiketomolestchildren" tends to make sure people steer clear, I'd say...

I do quite a bit of Wifi installation in the area both for mates and chargeable, and the trickiest thing is never the technology but when you and the user stare blankly at each other trying to think of a catchy network name and/or password. If they can't think of something quickly I honestly (!) use the names of bloggers I know.

No word of a lie - if you walk down Main Street in Gibraltar, just near the Cathedral, you'll pick up a wifi network I called "BarkingSpider".

microdave said...

Yes, I do TOO....

I've just found some files of scans I did with "NetStumbler" a couple of years ago. I've made some screen shots.

Funny you should mention this. I called mine "im_fucking_yer_wife" because the cunt over the road is paranoid.
Oh - another larf : his name is Dick Whalebelly
(I'm not making this up)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

I told you I was having a bad day TOO ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Yep. Good one. I'll make a note of it ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

@ASE
What .... no grumpy old twat yet? Hmmm ... maybe not a good idea ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

@microdave
More excellent names there .... my favourite? thecompletewankers, of course ;)

GrumpyOldTwat said...

Outstanding on all levels ;)

Whalebelly! WTFF!

Bring On The Revolution said...

Thought you'd like that on G.O.T!!!! Then after having a shit on the prayer mat, use the pages of the koran as toilet paper and tell the muzzie cunt in residence that the shit was a lovely pork sausage yesterday!!!

Captain Haddock said...

Many thanks MD .. I may end up doing that .. Ta muchly ..

Captain Haddock said...

That's another thing i'm having "fun" with Gotty ... apparently Outlook Express isn't compatible with Win 7 ... So I'm trying to put all my e mail accounts onto a web-based e mail system .. I'll keep checking though ..

The other thing which is really pissing me off is the Bluetooth "dongle" .. It seems to be incompatible too for the connection between my Motorla Razr Mobile & my PC ..

Captain Haddock said...

Done Gotty .... ;)

On going feud with my neighbour: he's fat, ugly, drinks and plays his music to loud.

About 2 months changed my router to "Gay_Sex?_Ask4Dave_@#3". Previous to that, router name was "Dave@#3_has_a 1"_cock".

microdave said...

That could be a driver issue. Although Win7 has a lot built in there are some devices that aren't supported. Try visiting the manufacturers website and see if they have updated drivers available. These are usually found under "Support" or "Downloads".

Captain Haddock said...

Thanks yet again MD .. I did as you suggested & the old "dongle" seems to be working .. ;)

Cheers mate ..

Why not try Thunderbird? The latest v3 is getting panned by critics as "Bloatware", but the last v2 (2.0.0.23) is still available from FileHippo. It's what I use, and according to some of the posts I've been looking at is compatible with Win7. I also found a mention of "Postbox" - which is a development of Thunderbird.
