What the fuck is going on?
Unlucky coincidence or something else?
+++UPDATE+++
Guido is reporting that Farage has been taken to the Horton General Hospital in Banbury. The pilot is being taken to a specialist spinal injuries hospital in Coventry.
Eyewitnesses told how the pilot and Mr Farage were in the front seat of the plane when it banked and the promotional banner became tangled around the tail fin causing it to plummet to the ground.
Sky News report here.

Jeez, yours is the first place I have heard about this. I've met Farage and he's a very decent guy. Let's hope he's A-OK.
This is very errie news, GOT.
Thanks for reporting it.
I hope Nigel and his pilot are ok.
Apparently, Nigel is okayish, two broken ribs and facial injuries. The pilot however is in a more serious condition. My thoughts are with them both.
The planes registration is G-BWDF see it here....

It is in fact a PZL-Okecie PZL-104 Wilga 35A
Oddly enough it's a Polish Manufactured aircraft ...
Looks like a nasty old crash doesn't it?

I never thought I'd hear you say that about a politician!
Mind you, I wholeheartedly agree.
According to the Mail it crashed on its seventh attempt at hooking a banner. And this was in full view of assembled media.

Sod's law dictates that things go wrong when everybody's watching...
Considering the state of the cockpit I'm amazed they survived, and wish them both a speedy, and full recovery. We need more people like Nigel in politics, whether you agree with him or not, and I most certainly do.
