Two Birds - One Stone

TheEye has always enjoyed 419 Scammer-baiting....replying to some fuckjob Nigerian who is offering you 10% of the stashed fortune of President Ombongo who has just died in a freak accident involving a blindfold and an industrial nail-gun, and stringing them along for as long as possible.

If you want to try it too, here's a quick tutorial to get you started.

1. Set up an untraceable and disposable email address. .
2. You need Nigerian spam quickly, and your new address may take some time to be harvested, so pick a Cunt.
3. Send this email:

4. The CWU will not reply, but they did sign me up to some rather pisspoor wank sites. Silent for weeks beforehand, within 24 hours the inbox is full of spam of all descriptions.
5. Select a 419 scam of your choice, reply, and happy baiting.

Cheers, CWU! It's the only helpful thing you've ever done. Cunts.

I remember signing up to some fledgling social networking sites a few years ago that made your email address publicly visible (I was hoping for a bit of totty...).

Fuck me sideways. I had much more fun with this hilarious lot, seeing how long they'd put up with me talking about sunflowers, 16th century renaissance art and stick insects. I missed out on some truly bargain watches as well (yes, I'm sure ;-) ).

Once got such a message sent to an unimportant work e-mail address.
Sent reply " Thank you for your e-mail, much sympathy for your plight, have no cash but can send you many coats if required. Hope this helps."

One hour later sent " ammendement, should have read 'many goats', sorry for any confusion ".

Got no response.

In actual fact "419" refers to that Section of the Nigerian Criminal Code ..

Most of these e mails originate in either London or Amsterdam .. there's an interesting article about it here ... http://www.met.police.uk/fraudalert/419.htm

I happen to know because a female friend of mine got badly caught by a bloke she met via an online Dating Site who pretended to be English & on business in Lagos, where he was allegedly "robbed" & "assaulted" .. He wanted her to send cash to pay for Medical treatment for his "injuries" & air fare home ..

Sadly, she parted with money before wondering if she'd been the victim of a Scam ..

Capt Haddock,

You need more intelligent friends, she sounds like a right twat. If she has any cash left (although she is far too dim to be trusted with it) tell her I am being held for ransom by my enchanted chair and hypnotised by blogs and she must send money for cider else I'm fucked.
