Overtly Homophobic Number Plates

Here's something that should cheer up 'Whinge-a-lot' Dale after all the problems he's had this week.

The DVLA have pulled a couple of number plates, from a list of 1,600 that were due to be auctioned later this week, on the grounds that they were deemed to be offensive.

The agency were concerned about the number plates bearing an overtly, derogatory resemblance to the terms 'faggot' and 'dykes'.

Stonewall were quoted as saying "This kind of proactive action by the public authorities helps make Britain a more equal place".

Really?

In which case I would like to tell the DVLA that they are a bunch of over sensitive fucking killjoys and I will also remind you that G.O.T. remains overtly heterosexual and is more than happy to play the 'heterophobic card', if anyone were to take humpage with his penchant for front lady gardens . . . .

That is all.

Hit & Run Harman ++Update++

Harriet 'Hit & Run' Harman is being investigated for driving without due care and attention, driving while illegally using a mobile phone and failing to stop after an accident, the most serious of the three offences. I dare say she'll still come out (pun intended) with the usual excuse about it being within the twatting rules, blah blah fucking blah.

So that'll be yet another reason not to Vote Labia then.

Baroness Scotland - Oh Dear!

It appears that the nephew of, 'I-just-forgot-to-take-a-photocopy' Attorney General, Baroness Scotland, is serving a prison sentence for kidnap.

Danny Scotland, the son of the Baroness's brother Daniel, is currently behind bars for an indefinite period after he was found guilty of bundling his victim into a car and then demanding money at gunpoint. This happened in 2004 whilst the Baroness was Minister of State for the Criminal Justice System.

Oh dear, it looks like breaking the law may run in the family then and why weren't the public made aware of this before her appointment to Attorney General in 2007.

Nothing to fear, nothing to hide?

Oh, hang on a minute!
What's this we hear about her flouting the tax law too?

You're Either Behind Guido's blog . . .

To say that I was completely fucking stunned when I read this post, by a previously anonymous blogger, would  probably be an understatement. Has Guido finally become a member of the establishment that, at one time, he so vehemently opposed? A hypocrite or even a media whore like Iain Dale? Could this really be true of a fellow blogger who was one of the very reasons (along with OH) that I started my own blog, to exercise my right to Freedom of Speech.

So, what does the new law that Guido so joyously announced, really mean for the long term future of anonymous bloggers? Is it, ultimately, the beginning of the end for offensive cunts like me? Has the Government unwittingly been handed a tool which will enable them to control the blogosphere?

I was beginning to think that maybe I was being a tad over sensitive to the situation just because I have a reputation for being a tad offensive from time to time. However, judging by a subsequent post here and the recent nominations for Guido here, it appears that I am not the only one beginning to have doubts.

To be honest, I really don't fucking know anymore.

You decide.

Incidentally, just in case anyone from the Daily Mail is reading this,
G.O.T. is overtly heterosexual.
