Following a successful takeover bid from Kraft,
Gordon Brown has announced today "The one thing I want to say is this: we are determined that the levels of investment that take place in Cadburys in the United Kingdom are maintained and we are determined of course, that at a time when people are worried about their jobs, that jobs in Cadbury can be secure."
The
curse of Jonah will undoubtedly strike again.
If you work for Cadbury's, you're fucked.
More Cadbury's chocolate
HERE
Great picture
ReplyDeleteGood work on the picture.
ReplyDeleteMust confess to not liking Cadbury chocolate and Hershey chocolate tastes like puke to me.
So now that the yanks own Cadbury, how's the bogie muncher going to keep his word and keep jobs secure? Bloody politicians and their sound-bites...
ReplyDeleteAnother Gordon Brown Chocolate Bite, soon to come out of the Brown End.
ReplyDeleteI expect McFuckwit will be looking forward to lots of "Fingers of Fudge" ..
ReplyDeleteI am stockpiling Dairy Milk. Now.
ReplyDeleteDo we actually own anything anymore?
ReplyDeleteSo King Gordo is "Determined to ensure investment and jobs are maintained".
ReplyDeleteSo what is he going to do about it? Whenever has he or his minions ever done anything about maintaining British jobs?
More spin and empty words.
...and, of course, this evening Cadbury's board has just announced that are bound to be major job losses. Well done Jonah.
ReplyDeleteThings must be REALLY bad in the U.K. if an American company was allowed to buy Cadbury's. All of the manufacturing plants will be replaced with cardboard boxes, our new construction material of choice. I have quite a nice one under a bridge, my retirement residence. You folks will like the new chocholate recipe. It is 20% sawdust. Hope they weren't paid in dollars...
ReplyDeleteI used to LOVE getting some Cadburys chocolate sent over to me from New Zealand. It just has/had the best taste of any of the cadbury's that i have tried (canada/india/england/australia/new zealand) Now its gone. In a move by their marketing department apparently Cadburys has stopped producing the NZ variety and now imports the stuff from Australia. The Australian stuff is awful. What a disappointment.
